Daishō Imori (井守) – The Elegance of Fire and Steel

In feudal Japan, the Daishō (大小) – the pair consisting of the katana (刀) and the wakizashi (脇差) – was far more than a set of blades. It symbolized the honor and soul of the samurai, representing the perfect balance between strength and wisdom.
The name Imori (井守), inspired by the Japanese fire-bellied newt, evokes duality: hidden serenity and fierce brilliance. Just like this creature, discreet in calm waters yet radiant when threatened, the Daishō Imori embodies both refinement and power.
Features of the Daishō Imori
Complete Katana + Wakizashi Set – faithful to samurai tradition
Shinogi-Zukuri (鎬造り) blade style – the classical profile, ensuring the perfect balance between cutting efficiency and durability
1045 carbon steel (0.45% carbon) – optimized for strength and maneuverability
Blue cotton Tsuka (柄) wrapped in Katate-Maki style – secure grip and traditional aesthetics
Black lacquered grain Saya (鞘) – discreet elegance and solid protection for the blades
Complimentary double wall stand – display your swords with honor
Protective cloth cover and wooden case lined with synthetic silk included

SHIHOZUME: Blades have 5 ingots, mild steel core (1045), back and sides of hard steel (1060), edge of extra hard steel (1095).
The shihozume is a type of Japanese sword blade assembly similar to the Honsanmai. Like its counterpart, the shihozume requires the use of three different types of steel for making the blade: shigane, higane, and kawagane.
Kawagane steel, however, is added to the sides as well as the bottom of the blade. Because of this, it is more difficult to use than some of the other types of assembly, but the end result is a capable Japanese broadsword that can cut and flex without breaking under pressure.

Katana Titanium Blade - The Perfect Balance of Tradition and Innovation

Discover the exceptional Katana Titanium, a sword forged with traditional T10 steel, enhanced with modern technology through a titanium vapor deposition on its T10 steel blade. This innovative process combines the strength of a katana with unique properties such as corrosion resistance and increased durability.

Titanium Vapor Deposition Innovation
The blade of this katana is crafted from T10 steel, a high-carbon steel (1.05%) known for its hardness and ability to maintain an extremely sharp edge. What sets this katana apart is the titanium coating, applied using a vacuum vapor deposition process. This technique involves heating pure titanium in a vacuum chamber until it turns into vapor. The blade is then exposed to the vapor, which condenses to form an even, durable coating.

The result is a blade that not only retains the exceptional properties of T10 steel but also gains increased corrosion resistance, even in humid conditions. The titanium coating also gives the blade a unique finish with subtle metallic reflections that evoke the power and elegance of this katana.

Benefits of the Katana Titanium

Corrosion Resistance: Thanks to the titanium coating, this katana is particularly resistant to moisture and external elements, significantly extending its lifespan.
Exceptional Hardness: With a hardness of 55 HRC, the T10 steel blade provides excellent cutting performance while remaining flexible to avoid cracking under impact.
Lightweight and Maneuverable: The titanium coating does not add significant weight to the blade, ensuring optimal handling and balance during use.
Enhanced Protection: Titanium not only enhances the blade’s resistance to corrosion but also improves its wear resistance, making it ideal for regular use or cutting practice.
