Shipping Methods and Delivery Times

 

Shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart based on the destination country and the weight of the package.

LSmall parcels (under 1 kg) are delivered via Colissimo within 48 hours. For packages over 1 kg, delivery is handled by DPD Predict.

When paying online by credit card (secure system via Crédit Agricole through Payzen), the order validation marks the start date of processing.

If you pay by check, the start date corresponds to the date we receive your payment.

For bank transfers, the start date corresponds to the date we receive confirmation on our account.

⚠️ Please note: certain items, such as katana, wakizashi, tanto, shuriken (throwing stars), and nunchaku, are classified as Category D weapons. Orders containing these items are only processed once we have received proof of legal age (e.g., driver’s license, ID card). 

Therefore, do not forget to send us a copy of your identification when purchasing these products.

Colissimo delivers straight to your home, either in your mailbox or directly handed to you against signature.

You will receive an email from the postal service notifying you that your package has been shipped. This email includes a tracking number, allowing you to monitor your order on colissimo.fr.

If the delivery person cannot reach you at home, your package will be placed at your usual local post office for collection.

Home Delivery (DPD Predict) With DPD Predict, enjoy a convenient interactive home delivery service that allows you to schedule a delivery appointment with ease.

DPD Predict guarantees high-quality shipping, offering nationwide delivery within France in 24 to 48 hours after shipment (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays).

 

How Delivery Tracking Works

via SMS or on www.dpd.fr

 

When placing your order on katanas-samurai.com, it is important to provide your mobile phone number in the billing information field.

 

Once your katana order has been shipped (packages over 1 kg), you will receive an SMS from DPD with several available delivery date and time slot options (3-hour time slots).

You can select your delivery time slot via SMS or choose from several options (pick-up point, alternate delivery address, different date/time slots, or a DPD agency) by logging into your Recipient Space on www.dpd.fr , using the code provided in your SMS.

 

If you do not reply to the SMS or email notifications from DPD Predict, your package will be delivered by default between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to the specified address.

 

Your delivery appointment is confirmed once you receive a second SMS. On the morning of your scheduled delivery day, you’ll receive another SMS reminding you of your selected time slot. The DPD driver will deliver your package against signature.

 

If you are absent, DPD will leave a delivery notice and you can reschedule your delivery at the time and date of your choice directly from your Recipient Space on www.dpd.fr.

 

For small parcels sent by standard postal services, you will be notified of shipment via email directly from our store.
